Bacara Santa Barbara sits on a scenic bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, just 12 miles northwest of Santa Barbara, California. If you're looking for a luxury spa resort, this is the place for you.
Bacara Resort & Spa feels like an intimate Mediterranean village. The exclusive luxury resort occupies 78 lush acres which includes a 2-mile stretch of beach.
Note: The beach at Bacara is, admittedly, NOT the nicest one in Santa Barbara County. It's very rocky and driftwood tends to collect here.
As with all Santa Barbara beaches, the amount of sand here varies throughout the year. Sometimes after a storm or at high tide, there's no sand here at all.
Don't let the condition of the beach stop you from visiting Bacara Santa Barbara, though. Bacara Resort & Spa has MUCH more to offer than a walk on the beach.
