My favorite burger is the Kobe "happy hour" burger at the Boathouse.

Delia's Reply: You're right, JR. The Boathouse has one of the best happy hours in Santa Barbara. And the view can't be beat!

Sunday through Thursday, happy hour runs from 3-6 pm AND 8 pm - closing! Friday, it's just 8 pm - closing and Saturday there is no happy hour.

Happy hour is crowded and lively. This is miles from tourist central and a real locals' favorite kind of place.

You don't have to wait for happy hour, though. The Boathouse opens at 7:30 am for breakfast and serves delicious, high-quality food all day long.

It can be crowded, especially during happy hour. Reservations are recommended - call 805-898-2628.

You'll find the Boathouse at 2981 1/2 Cliff Drive (map it) at Arroyo Burro (a.k.a. Hendry's) Beach. It's definitely worth the trip!
