There are so many things to do when you visit Santa Barbara. That's exactly why it is challenging to visit this place in only a few days.

You'll want to extend your stay just so you don't miss any good tourist destination or activity. However, sometimes that is not possible especially if you have a busy schedule.

So how do you make the most of your short stay in Santa Barbara? Here are some tips:

  1. Go to a different restaurant each meal. Yes, you will find a lot of restaurants that you'll want to eat all your meals at, but help yourself to other choices too.

Who knows, maybe there is an even better restaurant and you will not discover it if you just limit yourself to the first one you tried. When you visit next time, feel free to come back to the ones that captured your heart and filled your stomach.

  2. Stay in different hotels. Visiting Santa Barbara starts in finding the right accommodations. There are plenty to choose from, so why not stay at more than one place?

Choose a second hotel that's not too near the one you previously occupied so that when you go out you will be greeted with new surroundings. This also makes it easier to see more of the place in a short time.

  3. Save some time for wine tasting. Santa Barbara is famous for the number of wineries in the area. You will not have enough time to taste every single wine, but you can taste a lot if you reserve some time for this activity.

Go early in the morning, just when wineries are about to open, so that you won't have a lot of competition. This way, you will have the afternoon free to sample other delicacies and do a few more activities before you go to bed.

  4. Go camping. If you want to see the wildlife in the beautiful place, go camping and walk around. You can choose a camp site with a hiking trail so that one of your activities while at camp is hiking.

Rent a bike or wear your favorite hiking shoes and explore the woods. This is a fun and cheap alternative to staying in a fancy hotel for a night too.

Visiting Santa Barbara is sure to be fun and exciting. It would help if you make the necessary preparations before heading there so that everything is arranged when you arrive. Plan your itinerary so that you can save time going from one destination to another.
